A regulator = adjusts the voltage so it doesn’t go too high.
If it breaks, you get overcharging,
the battery swells up,
or if it’s lithium, it might explode?
While that’s unlikely to happen,
it’s definitely dangerous.
Looking for alternatives is a hassle,
so if you want to keep riding long-term,
“definitely buy one beforehand.”
Ideally,
I’d like to replace it as is!
Removing the generator is a pain,
so I’ll check if I can replace it as is.
It would be great
if I could do a simple replacement during an oil change.
