OEM fuel tanks typically have seam ribs.
This is primarily used to protect the rib paint from chipping.
If the paint does get damaged, it also works great as a cover-up.
Also great for covering areas where wiring might chafe!
I used this to finish up after cutting a large opening in the headlight case.
It handles decent thickness really well and has been super useful.
Since it has metal inside, you can adjust the width freely!
Of course, you can easily cut it with nippers too.
