Making Motorcycle Parts Storage Fun: “Bike Parts Organization Techniques” – Try It at Year-End?

These are the motorcycle parts I currently have in stock.

Organization and tidying up is super tedious.
But if you don’t do it from the start…
Haven’t you ever thought “Where did I put that?” and ended up buying it again?

If you keep things very simple, you won’t need to rely on your memory,
and you can think “Oh, it’s over there!”

You’ll be able to retrieve and store things smoothly.

Keep capacity moderate (I use 30L)

First of all, motorcycle parts are heavy.
The larger the case capacity, the more you can fit, but it becomes heavier.
This is a common principle in any kind of organization.
“Bigger doesn’t cover smaller” – this is the golden rule. “Big is big” and “small is small.”
By the way, what things does “bigger cover smaller” apply to? I’d like to know.

I usually store everything using this case as the standard.

A case that works for anything is “versatile.”
Even when you stop using it, you don’t throw it away – it gets a second life. It’s hard to become waste and lasts a long time.

And when you organize everything using this same format, all your organization becomes linked and even more comfortable, I think.

This subtle sand beige color is lovely.
Since different manufacturers offer various colors, choose based on your preference rather than price.

You’ll usually need dividers, so it’s good to purchase them at the same time.

I’m keeping only things I’ll “probably use someday” (carefully selected).
I’m gradually reducing items, but I have too many possessions, which is troubling…

“Someday” never comes!So you should definitely reduce your items.
You won’t use them during your lifetime, and their value probably won’t increase either. (*´ω｀*)

For small parts, I always use the “Muji Polypropylene Small Item Case L”
This is a case that works for anything, so it’s good to keep some on hand.

I’ve never counted them, but I probably use “about 200 of them”…
The size is “good for storing anything” and “the semi-transparent design is the best.”

I managed to fit 11 Muji cases for now. I can still add 2 more.
Retrieving and checking items is very easy.

Thin items with large outer dimensions can be placed underneath.

When everything is stored, it looks like this.
Open the lid and you can find parts without any trouble = you lose less time searching and avoid waste.

Moving storage locations is also easy. Try to keep things as square as possible.

With two 30L cases – one for aftermarket parts & small items and one for OEM parts – you should be able to organize most things.
