With the side stand’s poor convenience still in place there seem to be quite a few motorcycle riders dealing with this issue.
Improving the side stand’s convenience reduces trouble and definitely makes things easier I think.
It’s a good idea to have your regular bike shop modify it for you (*´ω｀*)

So there are actually side stands sold for the GPZ1100.
As always, such meticulous product lineup… I’m amazed.
Compared to the original (probably), it’s a bit more straight. (Our comparison)
Still, it’s surprising that there’s something with such a similar shape…
By the way, it’s now 17 inches front and rear, so this GPZ1100’s ride height has dropped. (Probably)
Upright in this state = almost upright on the side stand too…
I rejected it at sonic speed.
*Just to be clear, there’s nothing wrong with the product (*´ω｀*)
I bent a SUS round bar and quickly welded it together.
I prefer to keep things as simple as possible and I’m a “U-shape person” .
If I were to set up a new one, I’d push it further back but for now, let’s try using this one first.
