Strongest? Affordable Air-Cooled 4-Cylinder “XJR1200 Modified 1300” Inspection – Master Tank Bracket Fabrication – Engine Oil & Fluid Change

I used to ride this XJR1200 too.
It really was huge, wasn’t it? (*´ω`*)

Such a ridiculously affordable bike… The design is good too, so why isn’t it popular? …
The design and performance are both good, but why doesn’t Yamaha promote it? A mystery…

Anyway, let’s get to work!

First, I’ll make the master tank bracket.

I made this one a while back with the mirror co-fastened,
“At the circuit, it’s a pain to remove the mirror and swap it to the bolt.”
You’re absolutely right (-_-;)

So this time we’ll go with the M6 holder co-fastened.
On the brake side, we basically use a large tank, so we’ll proceed solidly and securely.

And that’s how it’s finished (;’∀’)

Ideally, it should be solid enough to last a lifetime. That’s what matters.

Now the mirror can be attached and detached without any interference. ♪

The engine oil is Shell Advance (*´ω`*)

The drain and muffler layout is perfect, so with some protection, you can drain it directly.

The brake fluid is Golden Cruiser

For fluid changes, we charge by “number of units” not by reservoir tank count.

“Front calipers *2, rear caliper *1, clutch *1 = 4 locations” That’s how it works.

The clutch was a bit dirty.
All done! (*´ω`*)
