Going to overhaul the stiff brake master.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a motorcycle that’s scary and unrideable, ranking number one. When you grip the brake firmly, it becomes stiff with a grinding sound.
The brakes engage in two stages, making it very difficult to apply and scary to ride.
I use a nylon brush spinning in a drill to clean the inside thoroughly. For the return port, it’s reassuring to confirm the passage with a fine drill bit.
The brake master cup has also expanded and the umbrella has closed. I’m genuinely impressed by how Japanese products don’t leak or seep even in this condition.
After a few years, everything ends up in the same state, so it’s good to do an overhaul when the timing is right.

Unexpectedly, the parts arrived today, so I got it done quickly. We’ll get it inspected next week and it’ll be complete.
