The starter motor O-ring arrived, so I’ll make a little progress.
The insulation on the generator wiring, neutral switch, and oil pressure switch was falling apart and hardened, so I replaced them with new ones.
This bike has some bolts that look suspiciously new.
This Phillips screw looks a bit suspicious. The tightening is probably loose too, so I’ll remove it and check everything.
I’m glad I checked it out. I replaced the mounting bolts with iron flanged ones.
The insulator band is still not normal.
I cut off the excess band that wasn’t being used because it looked messy. Now the carburetor is fixed neatly and securely. I want to finish the RG 500 first, so I’m putting this on hold for now.
