Well, here’s some unfortunate news.
The GPz400F repro throttle wire is not compatible with the TK carb.
The inner cable was about 25mm too short and didn’t reach.
If you machine the carb-side throttle wire holder,
you could make it work somehow, but it’s too much hassle, so I’m just going to sell it used as-is this time.
If you have a GPz550 with a TK carb installed, you might have some trouble going forward.
I have a feeling that the Z1000J and Lawson Replica and stuff like that might be similar…

Don’t make the same mistake and buy the wrong one.
The outer cable length is pretty much the same.
The hardware shapes and such are also pretty much the same, so they really are look-alikes.
When comparing them individually, the inner cable is a bit short and I thought it might be a little risky.
For now, I’ll just have to install it on the bike side alone and check.
Also, the inner cable length needs to be about 20-25mm longer.
The carb-side throttle wire holder is a separate piece, so it’s possible to machine it or create a new one and use it.
In my case, I plan to replace the carburetor with a CVK30 in the future.
The throttle wire condition isn’t bad, so I decided to keep using it.
For future reference, the throttle spool diameter is approximately 32φ.
The spool diameter was 32φ, so if you want to adapt something, check this out for reference.
It’s one of those soft vintage or rare bikes where some things work and some things don’t.
