It’s terrifying that OEM parts for this area of the GPz550 are still available – what a manufacturer Kawasaki is.
I haven’t researched it thoroughly, but I suspect the compatibility is extremely high.
Kawasaki continues to use similar engines for very long periods,
which is incredibly appreciated by both manufacturers and users alike.

so I’m going to replace the intake manifold and the duct tube on the air cleaner side.

Doing this kind of research beforehand makes ordering so much easier, doesn’t it?
You’d think the carb is different, the model year is different, so the parts must be different, right?
The shocking? Universal compatibility across all model years – it’s a bit scary, honestly.
Thanks to that, even as of 2024, new parts are still available and the prices aren’t shocking.
Suzuki OEM parts have become abnormal lately. Since they were originally cheap, I’m amazed at how much they’ve gone up.
In any case, it’s definitely worth buying these parts while they’re still available.
If you’re going to regret not buying it back then, just order it now.

Very unreliable O-ring – is it okay, Kawasaki?
The parts seem wrong – it’s such a thin O-ring.
No matter what I do, it keeps falling off, so
I didn’t trust the O-ring and applied liquid gasket all over to secure it.
*I did install the O-ring anyway.
The duct tube that’s rapidly becoming plastic
This is what caused me so much trouble when removing the carb.
I’d really like to replace all of them on Suzuki vehicles too, but depending on availability and price increases, I adjust accordingly.
Don’t think it’s always going to be there like it is with Kawasaki
– replacing it without hesitation is the best move.
It was hard and not fitting properly, so it was good timing to get the parts.
It’s surprisingly soft and satisfying to work with.
If you can get rubber parts, grab them immediately! They’re important.
Oh! By the way, I’ve already started the engine and finished the synchronization.
We’re already pretty far along, but
it’s quietly becoming one thing after another, and time and money just keep piling up. Ha ha
