I get asked about selling bikes from time to time…

the “seller” wants a high price, while the “buyer” wants a low price—that’s always the case.
In short, this back-and-forth is a hassle,
and ideally the bike would go to someone who really wants it for a price above your asking amount.

What I found great about Kachi-check is the ability to check the buyback price range through anonymous appraisal.
Since each bike has its own character, complete anonymity might be difficult.
However,
being able to get a rough idea of what the buyback price range is extremely helpful.
If you’re thinking about maybe selling, I’d say try getting an appraisal once.

The input screen is very simple and easy to understand.
The deciding factor is really the photos, so I recommend shooting on a sunny day in good condition.
Finding someone who wants to buy or wondering how much it would sell for on Yahoo Auctions—it surprisingly takes time.
With the traditional way of selling,
if you want to get rid of it quickly, you get a “low” price, but if you wait and have time, you get closer to your “asking price”—that’s the impression I get. Being able to casually find out the real market price is incredibly helpful.
And now we have this wonderful system that’s anonymous and costs nothing.
If this system becomes widespread, I think fewer people will use Yahoo Auctions, Mercari, or trade-in buyouts.
Everything is done online and the tedious back-and-forth is reduced, so buying and selling becomes very efficient.
