Basically, I don’t use it that hard, but I can’t help myself from looking for something more convenient.
Since each purchase comes with nearly 50 meters, it takes quite a while to use it all up.
I can’t wait that long to use it all, so I keep buying until I find the ideal one.
But since there’s no end to it, I want to make this the last one.
I finally got the Oregon Techni 280, which has been getting high praise everywhere.
I’ll use it with the Oregon Jet Fit insertion type.
What I purchased this time is 3mm. The nylon cord shape is round.
It looks almost like electrical wire.
It’s not that the Terramax from the other day was bad, but you can’t help being curious about people’s good reviews, right?
My impression of using Terramax nylon cord with Oregon’s Jet Fit was very good.
The only thing that bothered me was that it dug into the ratchet part, making cord replacement a bit of a hassle.
If it were a material like Oregon’s flexible cord that has tension and doesn’t bend, replacement would be easy,
but with a material like Terramax that bends like electrical wire,
I can’t push it out by hand and the cord bends, making it difficult to remove.
I’m not sure if it’s digging in or if the heat is making it stick.
I wanted to try the Techni 280, which is supposed to be heat-resistant, as a final test.
Heat-resistant, versatile, and relatively affordable, so expectations are high.
Foreign products are wonderfully simple and easy to understand at a glance.
By incorporating lots of diagrams, you can easily overcome language barriers and sell to many countries.
This kind of simple thinking is really appreciated.
The feel to the touch is rough and smooth, and it seems to hold some promise.
Manufacturers must test various things like this during product development.
Conversely, if you make a super wear-resistant product, the absolute number of sales will decrease,
so I think that balance is extremely difficult.
Terramax or Techni 280? I’ll test them next time.
With these kinds of products, if the timing is bad, they become scarce and completely unavailable.
At a few thousand yen, and since I’m going to use it anyway, it’s best to get it when you can.
It’s not like it spoils.
I have a vague feeling it might also be strong against concrete and such.
Thinking about it this way, in my case, the Oregon Flexible Cord doesn’t fit my needs.
The rest comes down to convenience—either Terramax or Techni 280.
Domestic manufacturers’ products would be fine too, but Oregon products have good design and subtly satisfy my sense of ownership.
It’s not really important, but I want to surround myself with items that are good to own and good to use. That’s what I think.
