Hmm? Could the pushrod oil seal be leaking?
I completely forgot about it, my apologies.

I’m not sure if it’s leaking or not, so when in doubt, better safe than sorry.
So I’ll go ahead and replace it quickly.

I’ll quickly remove the sprocket cover.

There’s chain oil and all sorts of gunk everywhere,
so it’s hard to tell if it’s actually leaking or not.

Since it can be replaced easily from the outside, I’ll clean it up quickly and then replace it.

It’s handy to make a small sliding hammer.

Whenever you think something is tedious or difficult to do, it’s good to make a special tool for it.
When you encounter similar work later, if you’ve experienced it before, you can handle it smoothly without any trouble.
I think everyone feels good when work is completed smoothly without getting frustrated.

It’s also convenient to make a proper insertion tool.
I think this was made for something in the past, but it turned out to be a perfect fit this time.
When you support the center of bearings and oil seals,
you can insert them without any worry at all, so the peace of mind is completely different.

It’s probably better to avoid just using whatever random thing is lying around for insertion.
Also, since oil seals are rubber, you don’t need to press them in too forcefully.
In other words, it’s safer not to hammer them in until they make a loud noise.

If you also apply grease to the lip part inside the oil seal,
it seems to improve lubrication and durability.
Since I really don’t want oil to leak, I usually assemble them with a minimal amount of fluorine grease.

That’s how I push it in by hand and it’s done.
