I might have finally found it.

At last,
the history of cooling jackets
started with Makita and now I’m hooked on Burtle?
THE work wear, folks.

After all, the deciding factor is
“cotton blend.”
For dusty work and such,
I think 100% polyester is better.

But
in my case,
it’s just bikes and wandering around the neighborhood.

No heavy-duty use.
In that context,
I’ve finally reached something close to my final choice (*´ω｀*)

After all,
“cotton blend”
really does feel gentler on the skin.
It’s crisp and smooth,
so it feels cooler.

With 100% polyester,
it inevitably feels like a raincoat,
and you feel the heat building up.
“Ugh, I’m getting all sweaty…” is what

If you get a chance to try them on,
“100% polyester and cotton blend”
experiencing both would be a good idea.

Every time I look at it,
I can’t help but think
it’s work wear, you know?

That said,
Burtle’s product photos
are really well shot…

Same as always.

I really don’t want to use the zipper!
That’s the vibe I get.

The side pocket has
Velcro on just one side.

They really won’t put a zipper on it.
Burtle
would be helpful if
the side pockets had zippers…

Being able to quickly toss in your wallet and phone
and hop on the bike,
that kind of flexibility makes me happy.

Ice packs won’t fit (;・∀・)

The inside is
the usual setup (*´ω｀*)

Nothing special to note,
just standard Burtle.

This old guy loves
“accordion rubber” cinching.

A bit old-school, maybe,
but it’s a solid cinch.

Air doesn’t leak out,
it shuts down tight!

Actually, it’s not too deep or too shallow—just right.
Once you get used to it, you can even adjust the fan speed and turn it on/off from the outside.

I’ve only used it for a few hours, but it might be the best in terms of usability.

The cooling is
definitely “long sleeves,”
but
the sleeves get in the way.

A “vest” doesn’t
quite get the airflow to the shoulders and underarms right.

Mine is 100% polyester,
so it feels a bit muggy and the circulation is weak?
That’s my impression.
Design-wise,
I like it best, though.

The all-rounder
“short sleeves, cotton blend”
works well indoors and out,
and doesn’t look stuffy.
The cooling at the underarms and neck is really nice.

Pairing short sleeves with a cooling inner layer might actually be the sweet spot.
