Is this the older brother’s version? (Nobody knows)
Well, the GSF1200 has become quite rare.
Our shop is in a pretty dire situation too.
Did they all end up in Okinawa…? Who knows.
We’re installing the usual FCC clutch~

Oil cooling is something I’m used to, so it’s easy (*´ω`*)
Plus it’s in really nice condition, which is a relief~
I did a careful inspection with a light, checking thoroughly…
No problems at all.

The STD clutch is also in good condition, so I’m relieved. (Even though we won’t use it…)

I finished it up while I was at it. (The image is before finishing)
I forgot to take a photo after finishing… oh well.

The 1200 series might become discontinued if you take too long to decide, you know?
“How many kilometers has it done now and how many more years/kilometers will you ride it?”
Thinking about that might make it easier to take the plunge.

The early 1200 and the later versions have different clutch center nut tightening torques.
It’s 88 N·m
Well, that seems a bit odd, doesn’t it?
But there’s a reason for it…

That’s it! The nut is thinner.
The processing is different too, and I think there are various other differences…
Basically, “assembling with the later set is more solid than the earlier one.” That’s what I think.

With tools like this, you can work safely even by yourself.
To do reliable and precise work, tools and equipment are absolutely essential.

I replaced the loose oil filler cap O-ring.
After that, it’s just the vehicle inspection and we’re done~
Jobs that finish quickly are the best~ (*´ω`*)
