Avoiding “Motorcycle” Wiring Meltdown with “Power Distribution” – Daytona’s Third Son. Is the D-UNIT WR “Ultra-Compact & Waterproof” Convenient?

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of aftermarket electrical component installations on motorcycles.
ETC/USB/Grip Heater/Voltmeter/Dash Cam/Ignition Kit

It’s impossible to pull power from the harness for this many devices
Even if you try

My own bike is packed full, and when you remove the seat…
Oh my?
“Impressive even when undressed.”
It’s super important (*´ω｀*)

Oh~ it’s so small~ (´ω｀) I thought, but.

Actually, it has quite a bit of depth, so be careful (´ー｀)

It’s surprisingly thick and substantial.
That said

Compared to the standard D-UNIT
“Ultra-compact”
Both my first and second sons are amazed.

The size feels like this.
There’s always a gap between what numbers show and what you actually see, right?
“About the size of a cigarette pack laid sideways…”

Can be fixed vertically or horizontally with cable ties, which is convenient.
Like a turn signal relay
It would really be nice to have rubber mounts.

But if it had those, people who can’t install it would increase, which might be dangerous.

When you open it, there’s a bit of “Ugh!” amount of wiring.
Even though they kept it simple, there’s still a lot.

When I use it, I keep it to the bare minimum for a simpler finish like this.

I think forcibly using connectors would be fine too….

I still don’t quite understand the point of spade terminal connections.
“This is convenient”
Is it for people who think that, or for ease of modification…?

Anyway, you end up
crimping terminals on the other side, so wouldn’t a connector-type from the start be best?

ON 12V power and ground
5A×1, 7.5A×2 can be drawn.

Because it uses a PTC thermistor “It’s not a fuse.”
Even if it blows “It automatically recovers”
Of course you still need to fix the underlying issue…
but it’s a bit convenient.

Since it’s not a fuse
“You can’t change the capacity”

A super convenient item for people who want to tap power easily.

Finally! The wires got thinner.

My first and second sons said “Are you spinning the starter motor?!”
The wires were that thick.

It’s a real hassle to route them.
When I try to protect them from chafing
“They just get even thicker”

Finally with the third son, they’re slim and sleek.
“Later-generation electrical products are better”
Like smartphones….
