If you dislike insects and creatures, or hate outdoor work, you’re a city person. I absolutely cannot recommend the countryside. . . . hehe.
Well, the Chiba outer coast is still a bit chilly. It’s cool, and the gentle sunlight feels really nice. But of course, insects enjoy this pleasant weather just as much.
I’m going to apply my favorite insecticide Gidorax to high places now.

I bought it last year, I think. It didn’t have a trigger mechanism, so I had to swap the nozzle for a standard one, which was really inconvenient. I just left it as is without investigating or modifying it, and completely forgot about it.
Height adjustment is one-touch. The extension points have fixed hole positions, so you adjust at those points. The usability is smooth and feels really good.
It’s just a simple bent rod structure. I could easily make it myself, but… I deliberately don’t. If people reading this blog think “that looks nice,” the hurdle becomes too high.
I want to provide content that anyone can easily get and that’s actually useful.
I can only use it at the base of the lever. It works, but the stroke feel is not very good. I’ll bend it to adjust as needed.
Since this kind of tool isn’t common, use a vise or clamp and do your best.
Base plate bending / Trigger rod bending
For my purposes, the spray can is “easier to use when pointing upward” In other words, angling it helps. I bent the base plate that holds the can slightly.
Adjust the nozzle rod to that position, and I think it will work well.
Attach and use ~ bend ~ use ~ bend ~ and you’ll find “the perfect setting.”

I bent the trigger nozzle until it touched the pole. If I need more angle, I might modify the nozzle itself.
The trigger nozzle position is perfect. With a little play, I can now achieve a full push stroke with great feel. I can now control the spray with fine precision.
After buying it, I realized “this item doesn’t deliver its true performance without custom adjustments” But that’s just how tools are, right?
If I’m being picky, I’d like it angled down a bit more. To help you visualize, “I don’t want to stand directly under the insecticide spray”
