I’ve tried to convey the delights as simply as possible.
People who are hesitant about “cordless power tools” are probably more concerned about

than convenience, I think.
“What era of tools are you comparing to?” depends on that,

but modern cordless tools boast
more than sufficient reliable performance (’ω’)

Highlight #3: Work becomes dramatically easier.
No worries about 100V cord distance or location!

This is truly significant.
You can use power tools freely anywhere.
“Inside a car” or “in a garage” or even literally “at the beach or mountains” —

Of course, you need to consider battery weight,
but that’s the same as preparing a 100V cord reel.

Cordless setups are lighter and simpler in configuration.
“Accidents from being pulled by cords or tripping over them” are completely eliminated.

I especially found wiring work dramatically more convenient.
“Soldering irons” and “heat guns” are amazing.
I can’t imagine going back to 100V corded work.

Also, “air pumps” are fantastic too!
The benefits extend even to the air tool market.

Highlight #4: Performance approaching or exceeding 100V
with convenient features

Honestly, I thought there’s no way cordless could beat 100V.

I purchased and use the “Driver Drill DF486D” regularly.
Before this, I used a Makita high-torque 100V drill.

Comparing how it handles cutting R-grooves in SUS304 pipe with a hole saw…

This drill is surprisingly
smooth and doesn’t have that sudden “jerk”?

“Speed adjustment” and “clutch” are
built into the “Driver Drill DF486D,” so when the bit bites into the material,
there’s no sudden “jerk.”

“In other words, since your wrist won’t get hurt, you can confidently push hard” and use it.

Plus, the torque is nothing to scoff at— “Wait, did it loosen that fast?”
And this one also has a “keyless chuck.”

Keyless means “you can open and close the chuck with just your hands.” No tools needed—it’s super quick and efficient.

Recently, some of these features have finally appeared on 100V models too.
Paddle switch, brake, and speed adjustment
but already the “Disc Grinder GA418D” has them built in.

These features greatly expand how you can use the disc grinder and significantly improve safety.
“Accelerator ON/OFF” -style switch control,
and the long-desired “speed adjustment” is also included.

This is a convenient feature that’s easy to use and really expands possibilities. ♬

Speaking of disc grinders, some models also feature “X-Lock.” It’s a one-touch feature for
“grinding wheel” replacement.

However, you must use “dedicated-shape grinding wheels,” so unless you replace wheels very frequently,
you probably won’t see much benefit.

Since I already have a large stock of grinding wheels, switching to “X-Lock” would be difficult for me.
It might be good for those buying a grinder for the first time.

Keyless chuck, paddle switch, brake, speed adjustment, clutch, X-Lock, and more—

Honestly, there are so many special features I can’t list them all.

The point is “development is focused on cordless technology.” While these features may eventually appear on 100V models, it’s not guaranteed.

100V is increasingly being left behind in terms of features—
becoming “outdated like flip phones” is quite likely.
