GSX1200S Inazuma 1200 oil-cooled Katana with Yoshimura ST-1 cam installation, FCC clutch, Yoshimura engine cover, step kit, and more

Is the AMA superbike-style Katana popular?

Well then, let’s get on with the remaining work~

I changed the turn signals to ones that are difficult to pass inspection.
I’ve set them up with a bolt-fixed look without modifying the fairing.

I’ve made them reversible for inspection time.

The wiring is done like the original with 040 gauge, left gray and right black.

The stock plug wires are old and have developed permanent kinks, which is a major concern.
I took the liberty of swapping them out for the usual Kijima silicone wires.

Making the plug wires a bit longer improves workability.
Routing them forward works even better.

Of course, I’ve also labeled the numbers with P-TOUCH.

The engine started right up, which is a relief (*´ω`*)

Installing the rear sets.
I had to replace the rod, so I did a semi-overhaul at the same time.

This manufacturer really loves fully-threaded bolts~
I’m pretty sure that’s not a good idea…

A common issue with aftermarket steps: they just don’t fit.

You have to force it pretty hard to install them, otherwise the brake hose contacts the frame.
That’s quite a problem, a serious problem.
To install them cleanly, I switched to double banjo bolts and used spacers to move it outward.

No matter which direction you go, the brake line will be under stress,
so offsetting it like this is the way to go.

And that’s how the installation is complete.
Next is a test ride and then I’ll create the invoice and we’re done~

(*´ω`*)Here’s what I introduced this time~
