This fender is quite well-made…
“There’s a 4.5-5mm gap on both sides” and that’s the problem.
In other words, “if you install it as-is, it will definitely crack” that’s what I mean.
I’m amazed something like this even works…
Nobody complains about the price, I guess.
Moreover, since this fender is well-made, the mounting surface is “pigeon-toed” angled inward.
In other words, “the bolts won’t go in straight” that’s the issue.
Everything has to be loosely fixed, the bolts need to be slightly longer, and you have to tighten them gradually and carefully. “It will crack eventually.”
I made four spacers and fixed them in place.
The spacers are specifically for “filling gaps and securing,” so I didn’t worry about the design.
