So with everything disassembled like this, I’ll proceed with inspection and cleaning.
The customer mentioned the clutch has been slipping lately, but this doesn’t look like it’s going to be a problem.
No abrasive material peeling. The steel plates are sparkling ☆
The friction plates are also nice and moist.
Everyone’s favorite? FCC clutch. Since the OEM won’t work, we have to rely on this one. I think there are quite a few bike models like this, aren’t there??

It’s reassuring to check the thickness and number of new and old plates.
If this fit becomes loose, the engine gets really noisy.
But GSX-R models tend to have this issue, don’t they…
The basket impact marks are also mild and look good. *The condition is different from some high-mileage bikes.
It’s moments like these when I realize the front cover is also a consumable part.
Keeping a bike running really is tough (;’∀’)
Cleaning it up doesn’t actually improve performance.
But I still want to clean it.
I think if I clean it and assemble it properly, “the bike is less likely to betray me” (;’∀’)

Since this era doesn’t use lock nuts, applying thread locker generously is a good idea.
