First of all, taking it out and putting it away is incredibly fast.

I honestly can’t see the point of 100V anymore.

For example, the GA418DZ features paddle switch speed control and automatic braking.
This is subtly comfortable.
You’re freed from the constant noise of electric grinders running at maximum speed.
With speed adjustment available, you can fine-tune as needed, and dust dispersal is minimal.
The paddle switch isn’t ideal for continuous use, but the mechanism that stops rotation when you release it is fantastic.
I really want people who’ve only used 100V grinders to experience this.
It stands up, making storage easy and quick
Basically, it’s designed to stand upright, which is incredibly convenient.
Even when you just want to set it down for a moment, it stays upright.
You can organize and store everything vertically.
With a 100V corded tool, that’s not possible. Taking it out and putting it away feels like a chore.
This ease and speed of storage alone is a huge plus.
Even at 18V, it delivers incredibly powerful performance
Until recently, my impression of Makita was stuck at the 10.8V era.
I thought, “After all, it’s just a battery-powered tool, right? It can’t match 100V.”
But the 100V power tools I already owned
have already been surpassed, and combined with cordless convenience, it’s undoubtedly more comfortable.
The DF486DZ is also incredibly torque-rich
I find myself thinking, “Wait, did it open that easily?”
It also has a clutch,
so when drilling with a hole saw, the kickback is minimal and it feels safe.
