Going cordless has been really great.

・No need to bundle cords.
・Can store upright (in my case)
・Storage looks clean without wiring
・Cordless means you can work anywhere
・Quick to grab and use
・18V has more power than expected (*´ω｀*)

The downside is replacement costs.
But with all these benefits, wouldn’t work, time, and storage all become more worthwhile?

I had some scrap wood, so I’m currently storing them standing up like this.

It seems humans naturally find straight lines beautiful.
Things look nice when they’re lined up.

I bought a plate on Amazon and fixed it to the board.
Two screws are more than enough.

It doesn’t lock with a click, so it’s a bit underwhelming.
And it’s quite loose, so don’t expect too much. If you’re okay with just sliding it in and storing it, then it’s fine.

After using it, I realized that since I have them arranged front to back, a click lock would make it easier to pull out.
But maybe a click is better… I’m not sure.

If you know of something good, please let me know.

When I want to use something, I pull the whole thing forward and take it out, then push it back when I’m done.

This kind of storage would be impossible with 100V corded tools.
Going cordless with power tools really has nothing but benefits! Prices will likely keep rising.
Why not give it a try this winter?
