Haven’t seen the new one… or the old one either… sorry about that.
Work is progressing smoothly.
Since the mileage hasn’t increased much since last time, it’s better to do it as needed.
Checked the antenna issue with the mysteriously discontinued Daytona radar.
The current installation should be fine.
The brake noise issue.
If you want the noise eliminated, I can pretty much eliminate it, but whether that condition persists depends on the owner.
I basically think it’s either a compatibility issue between the disc and pads, or hardening of the pad friction material surface.
So I’ll hone the disc
and peel off a layer of the pad surface.
The machining is on the right side. With honing marks like the right side, it will be reborn with that new-like “shoo-shoo” sound.
The pad contact is a bit subtle too.
The center doesn’t seem to be making contact at all. Once you smooth out the surface and repeat hard braking a few times, it should settle into a nice balance.
The caliper condition is decent.
This is a Tokico 6P 90MM pitch, so in the future switching to a Nissin 4P 90MM would be even better. It should fit as is, probably.
Labeled both discs left and right with P-TOUCH.
P-TOUCH is more resistant to chemicals and solvents than Tepra, and no adhesive residue remains after peeling.
Tepra leaves color 100% of the time…
Cleaned and lubricated the chain and charged the battery.
Also replaced the brake fluid.
The throttle cable was stiff, so I lubricated and adjusted it.
The noise is completely gone and it should be running great now (*´ω｀*)
