The rain keeps coming—work and blog posts are progressing nicely!
Both the right and left sides have halos (*´з`)—angel’s rings, you might say—so we’re replacing the fork seals.
Wait, not an OH? Well, that would involve a lot more, so…
We’ll do a fork oil and seal replacement.
The fork oil was quite metallic, I must say.
That’s just how things were back then…
I got the oil seal out (*´з`)
This time it’s 37φ and I don’t have a puller, so I used a tie-down to remove it.
I’ll clean it up nicely and get it ready for installation (‘ω’)ノ
I’ll pack it with fluorine grease and assemble it (‘ω’)ノ
Low resistance and reduced oil leakage should point us in the right direction.
Front and rear axle shafts are in good shape.
Wheel bearings are also in good condition.
Front and rear brake calipers are in great shape!
I want to move them individually and make them as smooth as possible—100% commitment!
If I notice something off and remove the burrs, the braking might improve by maybe 1%? (*´з`) (Pretty subtle!)
Throttle cables last a long time if you maintain them properly.
They’re not performance parts.
Basically, as long as they work, you want them to last, right?
I’ll clean the chain and adjust the tension and lubrication.

I’ve cleaned and lubricated all the various parts!
I’ve done a full fluid change on all three calipers (^_-)-☆
I’ve changed the engine oil to Shell Advance Ultra 4T 15W-50.
Since it’s using Suzuki drain gaskets, I’m discarding the bolts too!
Those Suzuki drain gaskets really are kind of sketchy, aren’t they?
Next week we’ll take it in for inspection and we’re done! (*´з`)
