[Thoughts] When Things Pile Up? Reduce Them. Organize Properly—Super Important (*’ω’*)

The image is unrelated.

These days, anyone can easily accumulate things.

Even if you don’t have storage problems, once things pile up, you need to reduce them or set up an environment where you can quickly retrieve what you need.

Wait, where did I put that? ← Wasted time

If you can find it in a few minutes, that’s fine, but searching—is it here? Maybe there? Over there?—wastes so much time and is incredibly frustrating.

And then there’s the tragic accidental duplicate order…
I’m sure that solid organization will pay off down the road.

Keep organization rough in your mind—don’t rely on memory

Human memory is quite vague and actually tends to correct itself in favorable ways.
That feeling of “I’m absolutely sure!” might be exactly that.

In my case, the location of things—their address—is pretty much fixed, so if it’s not there, it’s not there. That means I threw it away or left it somewhere, so I give up searching right away.

The first time is a hassle for anyone. But after that, it’s smooth sailing (´∀`*)

Put things in Muji boxes, label them with a P-TOUCH, and store them. Honestly, it’s a bit tedious…
But that small investment leads to comfortable, efficient work.

An environment where you can grab things quickly and put them away smoothly feels amazing.
By the way, our shop has an honestly ridiculous amount of materials on hand.
If we managed them carelessly in boxes, it would be a disaster.

Get it done in one shot! Organization and order

Follow in the footsteps of the masters?

The factories of people you think are amazing are orderly and very clean.
They’re easy to work in and have a neat, tidy feel.

It’s also really important to learn from the examples of those who came before and from the world around us. Let’s always keep that spirit of learning close to our hearts. *Even negative examples teach us valuable lessons.
