I want to see the oil temperature…
But it’s a dry-sump system. An oil cooler is also installed…
I’d like to install it in a way that’s as hassle-free as possible.
I’ll proceed with this clever plan.
The sensor I ordered is M10-P1.0, the smallest size.
The plan is to fit it into the drain plug cap.
This was supposed to be the end, but… no matter what I did, the temperature wouldn’t display.
Hmm, let me read the instructions again…
*It needs to be attached to the frame, they say. A ground connection is essential.
And so it’s now displaying properly.
There will be some lag, but let’s see how it goes for now.
Note that the minimum temperature display is 40 degrees Celsius.
