It’s thicker than the stock cover, so it might actually protect the engine in a crash.
The oil pressure switch is removed, so the OP light won’t come on anymore.
When removing the left side, it’s good to check the starter clutch center bolt torque for peace of mind.
That’s how we did the replacement.
We took the liberty of swapping the bolts to the trendy trivalent black finish.
Since we couldn’t see the oil window, we’re replacing it.
If you make a tool that fits perfectly once, you can remove it cleanly every time.
We’re trying to avoid using a box wrench carelessly.
If you make a reliable guide for installation, anyone can do it smoothly.
Good work starts with good tools.
Then we apply liquid gasket to prevent leaks and we’re done.
I think this is a part everyone should replace sooner rather than later. . .
