I think it’s good to check and eliminate all items that will be a plus going forward.
However, let’s first proceed without randomly replacing expensive parts like coils, ignitors, or fuel cocks.
Try supplying fuel from an external source.
By doing this, you can rule out the fuel cap, cock, and tank.
Polish or replace the fuses.
If it turns out to be a plus going forward, it’s definitely an item you want to eliminate.
Charge the battery and polish the terminals to ensure solid electrical contact.
It doesn’t cost money, and it can only be a plus.
Check the spark at the plug.
If you suspect something’s wrong, go ahead and replace it. Let’s be more certain.
Measure compression with a compression gauge.
Even with a four-cylinder, if one valve is bent, the engine will still start and rev high.
By measuring, you can rule out the engine.
If it’s a starting problem, it comes down to four components: engine, carburettor, electrical, and fuel.
Simplifying this structure and thinking about it more flexibly is the shortcut.
