Cordless is a given, but
- “Switch OFF for instant brake”
- The point about “rotation adjustment dial is amazing.”
First of all, 100V grinders are noisy, right? They run at full speed when powered on, and don’t stop unless you turn off the switch.
This product resolved all those frustrations at once. - Instant braking when the switch is OFF greatly improves safety.
- When observing while grinding, releasing it turns it OFF so it’s not noisy.
- The “rotation adjustment dial” is divine. There’s no issue where the belt sander is slightly underpowered or the sander is slightly overpowered, but being able to grind slowly and carefully at low speed was extremely GOOD.
It’s a small thing, but there’s no doubt that the workability of the grinder has improved dramatically.

When I first bought it, I thought “This is no good… I made a mistake.”
The threaded straight air port was so bad that I even considered disposing of it.

Just using these two items from Asahi Industries transforms it into something completely different. Or rather, it feels like we’ve finally reached the starting line.
The digital air pressure gauge is also quite accurate. The usability of the air chuck has improved, making it possible to quickly inflate anywhere.
It’s slower than a compressor, but it’s not at a level that bothers me.
I think this is the product where I felt the most benefit from going cordless.
