[Thoughts] Helmet, gloves, gear—I want to keep all of it nice and clean.

Take the helmet liner out and toss it in the washing machine! It comes out really fresh.
You’re telling me you’ve never… not even once… washed it?

That’s pretty common. Same goes for gear and gloves. (ﾟДﾟ)
Don’t confuse character with dirt.

Helmet liners are sold as small parts, so it’s a good idea to keep a spare set on hand.
Swapping them out becomes easier, and it becomes a habit, so I really recommend it.

As for gear, it varies from person to person, but synthetic motorcycle wear should be washed or dry-cleaned to freshen it up.
I often take in jackets that give off the vibe of “has this ever been washed even once?”
They’re soaking up all your sweat and exhaust fumes.

Gloves are a bit trickier.
I don’t store gloves inside a helmet.
I’d recommend a glove hanger.

They’re less likely to lose their shape, the fingers stay properly spread, and mold is less likely to form compared to other storage methods. Motorcycle gear is actually pretty unsanitary. If you leave it somewhere with poor conditions, mold will grow—pretty gross, right?
Since these are tools you care about and have affection for, maybe it’s worth taking another look at how you store them.

You can actually use an inexpensive shoe dryer like this to dry out helmets, gloves, and boots too.
With a little thought, you can keep everything in great condition for your next ride.

Using this keeps everything toasty warm from the start of your ride—feels great. It’s so versatile that having one around is really handy.
