I picked up an MOS caliper for future reference.
The cap is Pentalobe—now that’s a puzzle. Why? There’s no special tool setting for it.
What do we do about the O-ring here?
Tools are available for sale, but I probably won’t be using them going forward.
I welded stainless steel rods into a V-shape and milled two flats to make a simple homemade tool (‘ω’)ノ
If you make three contact points fit perfectly, it should come off!
Well, since it’s a machined hole, maybe the message is don’t remove it?
So it’s 27–30 mm.
Brembo is 30–34 mm, so this is about 10% smaller. There must be a reason behind those specific numbers.
I really like the design of this MOS caliper, but it seems it doesn’t appeal to the general public.

With 100 mm pitch, it can also fit the Inazuma 1200.
I haven’t fully checked the right offset yet, so I can’t say for certain, but this seems like an interesting option too.
I always find myself thinking of Sponden calipers…
