There are so many things you don’t know until you actually try them.
Press-fit work and tight tolerances require special care, and you really need to consult on the color before placing an order or it can go wrong.
If you’re working with fresh material and know what type of aluminum it is, it’s easier to imagine how the finish will turn out.
There are vendors who’ll take it easy and say “don’t worry about it.”
But I’ve had experiences where the finish came out with uneven color or washed away in the rain.
