If it’s cracked or scratched, replacing it is definitely more economical than repairing it.
This is a rare J-model upper cowl.

There is some age-related wear, but it’s in good condition.

There is a crack in the left mirror mounting area.

There are scuff marks on the left knuckle area.

There is deterioration at the screen mold mounting location.

It has been modified with aftermarket flush-mount turn signals, but they are two-sided so they can be removed.
