A soldering iron that’s cordless = the strongest
Anyway, the fact that you can’t use it without a 100V power source is extremely annoying.
First, the 100V cord is in the way.
There’s also the possibility of catching the cord, and when working on a bike moving left and rightit’s extremely dangerous and bothersome
I wish there was no cord like this…

A detachable torch tip is best
The torch base (on the main unit side) is also plug-in and screw-on type.
Since torches are consumables and minebreak after about 2 years, I always keepspares.
Also, by replacing the torch tip with something else“plastic melting”and“pilot hole drilling”become convenient too.
I haven’t purchased this one myself, but“I have a hunch that Hakko ones might work”(*´ω｀*)
“Non-Makita” but Makita users are happy
It appears to work with Makita’s 18V.
Since my soldering iron works on 14.4V too, I wonder if this one would fit as well? (Just guessing)
When a soldering iron becomes cordless, you’re not limited by location.
“In a car, at the track, in the garage, or of course in a room”you can use it anywhere.
It’s just completely different. You might understand faster if you imagine an old corded telephone.
Really! This year, go cordless! I think it’s worth considering.
