Once all the parts arrived, I quickly assembled everything and took it out for a test ride. The Bandit 1200 K6 really stops on a dime with the Watanabe SP2 ignition system installed.

Spark plug replacement: Replace with new plugs to restore the strong spark and stable idling of the oil-cooled engine.
Puncture repair: Remove foreign objects (nails, screws, etc.) discovered during tire inspection and perform a reliable puncture repair.
Result: Following the suspension and brakes, the ignition system and tires are now worry-free! All remaining tasks are complete, and this premium oil-cooled final-generation machine is finished.

Oh no… it’s flat. Please wipe the tires with water occasionally. It’s a hassle, I know. You’d be surprised how often foreign objects get stuck in tires.
It’s really amazing how punctures happen, isn’t it? The odds of something getting stuck are incredible… just incredible.
I repaired the puncture (external patch type). All the brake fluid has been bled and replaced as well.
The Bandit 1200 is also a 20-year-old machine
Even a 2006 model is starting to show its age. Especially the brake calipers and wheel bearings—the chassis bearings are getting to that point too.
The brakes grab hard, so it should be a blast to ride.

For the final touches, I replaced all four spark plugs to ensure a strong spark and stable idling. During the final inspection, I also found a nail embedded in the rear tire! I’m so glad I caught it in the garage before the customer went for a ride. Verdict: The puncture is safely patched, the engine is purring, and all remaining tasks are finished. This beautiful bike is finally ready to hit the road!
