
It’s been a while since we’ve worked on a Suzuki oil-cooled bike. We’ve been doing a lot of Kawasaki Z’s lately, so this is a nice change of pace.
It’s subtly refreshing. Since it’s light work, we’re moving right along smoothly.

We’ll change the engine oil and oil filter.
We chose ELF MOTO4RACE 10W-60 for the oil.


I forgot to photograph the rear. It’s tough that the master cylinders front and rear are machined solid and not visible.
After squeezing and massaging, the touch feels solid.

This is the first time we’ve been asked to do a GS1200SS.
I noticed it when I looked at the wiring diagram. Ah, so this GS has the right switch replaced—that’s the kind of situation where you’d want a hazard light.

I think it’s good practice to use a connector of the same shape as the harness side.

Signs that something happened here once upon a time.
After that, we’ll get it inspected and we’re done.
