It’s good to check the starter clutch bolt from the left side first for peace of mind.
I’ll apply thread sealant to the dowel pin so it doesn’t rust—that’ll make things easier next time.
I replaced the cover bolts too. I’ll skip the right side.
It looks like fuel is seeping from the L-shaped joint connection.
This was my first time removing it, but it seems to be basically press-fit. The groove is shallow, so there’s no room for an O-ring, I think?
It’s a bit of an unconventional approach, but for now: I clean it, apply Variegelta (fuel-resistant grease), and push it in. Since it resists gasoline, it also has stopping power. It’s holding for now, so let’s see how it goes.
The frame side where the stand is fixed is a bit loose, so I’ll check that. Still, it’s in pretty rough shape.

I skipped the unnecessary areas. Then I did some light polishing and gave it a good spray.
Just having a clean sidestand at the bottom makes a huge difference in how it looks.
