Inspection and various small jobs.
Polishing alone left some unevenness and a plastic-like appearance, so we went with hairline finish followed by re-polishing for a matte hairline finish.
It looks really nice. I’m only showing the after shot since before and after comparisons are a hassle.
On a heavy bike, when the sidestand angle is steep, getting it up requires a big effort—oof! (;ﾟ∀ﾟ)=3 huff huff
I hate that. We wanted to make it more comfortable.
So we cut out a sole piece and—
—welded it on. This should make it a bit easier now.
The radiator cap is done for. We replaced it.
It was really rusty. We rinsed it with tap water until it was clean.
We replaced it with an NTK.
About the water temperature gauge that wasn’t working the other day—it started working again with an unexpected fix.
Removing and installing this meter is a bit of a hassle. Washer in, then nut. This small part is designed to make that one operation easier. If we tack-weld the washer in place, future work will be much simpler. I think it’s great when small details like this make things easier for everyone.
There were various other small tasks, but it’s all done now.
