We had a request for an inspection and self-point maintenance.
Let’s clean the caliper.
• Remove dirt
• Piston operation (check for stiffness) and condition (rust, etc.)
• Pad pin and caliper body wear condition
• Pad remaining thickness check
• Brake fittings
It’s good to check these things.
The dirt was pretty stubborn buildup.
After cleaning, applying rust preventative and polishing will help maintain good condition for longer.
It’s also good to polish the pad springs and such.
Make sure to clean thoroughly with warm water and soap.
We forgot to photograph the brakes, but we replaced all front and rear brakes and clutch.
We balanced everything and we’re done.
