I’m going to proceed carefully so I don’t become a sloppy person.
The headlight is wobbly and really uncomfortable. Since my main business is inspection agency work, I want to make sure this is solid.

I did a kind of solder-style plastic weld. It’s strong because it doesn’t budge even when twisted.
You can only get it this clean at times like this.
I added neutral detergent, shook it, then ran a shower through it to rinse.
Then I put in a soft cloth and worked it hard,
and I think it’ll come out pretty decent.
The sides bother me ×62. I’ll polish them… I thought it’s still got some life in it. I’ll polish both sides, spray with rust preventative, and buff it dry.
Hmm. I’m satisfied with the finish. This kind of work is why it takes so long.
But if I do it now, that time will definitely come back to me later. Let’s believe that.
The underside of the chin is 1100 = 2 pieces / 750 = 1 piece, so I’ll make a triangular plate.
I had some left over, so it’s titanium. Lucky?
It’s a recent trend: “cutting threads into thin sheet” when you don’t need much force for fixing. The original idea came from a master builder’s vehicle, where the brackets have “unique shapes and fixing methods.” Interesting-looking bikes are really helpful for reference.
So there’s no twisting or anything.
I really hate self-tapping screws. Once they’re gone, repairs are a pain. The fairing had enough thickness, so I’ll cut M4 threads into it.
This idea isn’t mine either, but fixing it with 10-degree/0-degree Delrin color feels great—”ah, perfect fit.”
The chamfer isn’t perfect, but I’ll let it slide.
I thought it would be even better if I countersunk it, but I didn’t have the material, so I skipped it.
The rest is simple and ultra-low-profile so it doesn’t stick out.
The Weld nut will crush and spread nicely. Let’s minimize unnecessary shank length.
That compound screen I was taught about shines so bright.
