We started with an oil change and pads, but the disc was pretty worn too, so that’s how it went.
It was pretty worn down—right time for replacement.
Even if you spend time washing a caliper with poor operation and working it out, the effect is honestly thin.
Old rubber doesn’t return to its original state, and corrosion and grime in the grooves won’t come clean.
Here at Decoboco, given our equipment, it’s faster and cleaner to disassemble and polish than to wash.
It came out better than new, and the action is definitely different.
Since a caliper OH wasn’t requested, we’re only charging for parts.
It’s nice when a bike is clean and all its parts function smoothly.
The oil change is complete too.
All that’s left is a test ride and we’re done.
