The connecting plate arrived, so let’s install it.
Three out of four pieces had cracks. Since it’s in the choke passage, it shouldn’t cause any problems, but I’ll solder it shut just to be safe.
I also gently polished the slide block.
The connecting plate is finally discontinued… I coated it black with Cerakote.
I was torn between silver, but figured if it’s going to turn black from gasoline anyway, I might as well start with black.
The needle wear is minimal, so that’s reassuring.
All that’s left is to adjust the oil level and we’re done.
Still so much more to do…
