This is an update on the Ika Devil.
The customer wanted to cut off the Antlion ear-mounted holder to make a symmetrical round bar bracket on both sides.
We bend the material with a bender.
Then we weld the machined collar and we’re done.
Lately there’s been talk that leaving it as-welded looks good, but…
I think the idea of making it look smooth and polished like the ones you buy is pretty cool these days.
We made a turn signal bracket positioned just slightly protruding from the fairing.
Lately I’ve been into collaborating different shapes like flat bar and round bar. We keep it as thin, light, and simple as possible.
We removed the scale and polished it smooth.
RACING wanted the HID installed cleanly. When the electrical components are neatly arranged, it looks great.
I really like the Antlion handlebar post. Of course, it’s not designed for oil-cooled bikes, so there are some drawbacks.
It restricts the steering angle to the limit where the handlebar lock works. If you want to change it back, you just need to machine it away.
Since it sits lower and closer to the rider, it’s perfect for Suzuki bikes with their long tanks.
