Progress is steady. We’re getting close to the finish line.
The turn signal was blowing a fuse. Well, that’s unusual, I’d say. The center terminal contact was sitting poorly and touching the spring inside. I’ve insulated all four of them.
We’ll be removing this shared ground connection.
If you lightly remove the plating before soldering, it’ll look much cleaner.
It was dirty, so I polished it up.
The bundling method uses heat-shrink tubing without actually shrinking it.
I’ll make an indicator using the LED that was brought in. I’m still figuring out how to secure it and where to mount it.
Since there are three of them, I went with this kind of layout.
That’s the idea.
When I convert two turn signal indicator ports into one, I use this Stanley diode to make it a single port.
I still haven’t found a connector that snaps right into this…
I’ll use adhesive-lined heat-shrink tubing to secure it.
It’s starting to feel like year-end. I’ve been talking with vendors and not making much progress. I’ll wrap up here for today.
