The fuel tank has also come back from rust removal. Just like the floor, the ceiling is important too.

The upper cowl has cracked through, so we’ll repair it.
No amount of FRP layering at a single point would hold. I fabricated a stainless steel chin-hook mounting plate.
We’ll secure it with push rivets like this. Then we just need to secure the face from the outside and we’re good.
These parts are in such a sad state, so we’ll polish them and restore them to a condition we can love.
