Inspection and clutch engagement issues & light touch maintenance (self-point maintenance) request.

From the rear. The hub damper looks nice and new too.

The rear wheel bearing felt good.

The rolling resistance is poor, so let’s clean the caliper.

By the way, that’s the situation above, so please take it as reference. I’m assuming the leading side isn’t being loaded.

The dust seal is external, so be sure to remove it before cleaning.
The piston movement is slightly stiff, but it’s acceptable.

The lock nuts in certain places have a reason. They won’t last forever. Replace them at appropriate intervals. A 12mm wrench size like the original is optimal. Please don’t use 13mm or anything like that.

The front has a slight clicking, so I’ve adjusted it.

It spins well, so no worries.

The front brake setup seems to cause poor rotation. The caliper itself looks new. It was recently replaced and the pad contact hasn’t seated yet—it feels odd.

Spray the disc with brake cleaner occasionally and wipe it down. It gets pretty dirty.

The clutch release is quite something. Given the model year, if it’s never been disassembled before, it could suddenly fail, so caution is needed.

The piston has no individual part number, so if it’s bad, it’s an assembly replacement.
Or we could go with K-FACTORY’s larger diameter version.

The cylinder has no step wear, so we’ll hone it and reuse it.

It’s compressed…
Just when I thought I’d prep for inspection, cylinder #2 isn’t heating up…. This is a problem.
