
We swapped the engine the other day, but for various reasons we had to put the cam work off until later. Let’s continue with that now.

You can use a marker if you want, or even scratch it up—it’s fine. You need some way to keep track of how far you’ve rotated things.
I think everything needs a reference point to work backward from.

We measured at cylinder #4 since it’s the easiest to work with. When you measure valve timing across all four cylinders #1 through #4, there seems to be more variation than you’d expect. I wonder how that works out.

We adjusted the cam sprocket by tightening and loosening it until we got it dialed in. Well, we followed Yoshimura’s specified position, anyway.
