The GSXR1100K-N has no rear disk option—is that really true? Well, it’s a bit late to ask now.
We at Decoboco have a habit of saying “it’s fine, it’s fine” and not recommending things. Your rear disks are pretty grooved, so please pay attention to that.
Especially with calipers that rattle like floating types, I’ve noticed they tend to wear unevenly.
If a scratch appears after taking this much care, I’d call that bad luck—that’s what I think anyway.
If a scratch happens without proper protection, well, that’s unfortunate—let’s learn from it. It’s the same as running a lathe without safety glasses, having something fly out and losing your sight: you’re the cause. You always need to be careful.
The GSXR1100K-N disk thickness is 6 mm, while Sunstar is 5 mm. The contact width is pretty much the same.
I haven’t measured the caliper inner dimension yet. Let’s add a pad shim under the pad.
To be precise, the center will shift.
I’ll check it with Aoni later after wiping.
No issues with pad height top and bottom. (The pads are still used.)
I’ll replace the disk bolts at the same time.
The front disk will need to be discussed later.
