It’s a super basic three-roll bender, but it’s more than enough for what we need at Decoboco.
Benders with small roll diameters for bending narrow widths are hard to find on the used machinery market. So we went with one of those sketchy-looking units you see on web shops. The handle is annoying, so we welded on a 1/2-inch impact socket. Now you can turn it with a long 1/2-inch ratchet or run it semi-auto with an impact gun.
We’re tack-welding the seams together. We’ll forgive the melted spots.
It came out nice and round.
It’s easier than I expected. In the end, it’s simple: without the tool you can’t do it, with the tool you can. That’s all there is to it.
We need a bit more work on it, so we’ll get to it when we have time.
