GSX-R750 RK chassis total maintenance, oil-cooled maintenance, carburettor maintenance (+) OH and more work requested.
We’ll start with the front area. The condition isn’t bad, but you can feel the age of the grease.
There are a lot of burrs, so we’ll clean those up.
We’ll check the race press fit visually.
We’ll apply NC100 thoroughly and assemble it.
Now we’ll move on to the fork work.
Of course we want to check for runout. We’ll also check the inner outer diameter just to be safe. Even with plating peeling and wear, the dimensions aren’t surprisingly off.
The corrosion is quite severe, so we’ll polish and apply clear coat.
When the lower end looks good, the whole bike looks even better. If corrosion is severe, we recommend replacement or polishing work as well.
The wheel bearings had some oil, but they feel old. Some are usable and some aren’t, but this is definitely an area where we want to start fresh.
